The Department of Physics was established in 2001 caters to the basic foundation course of Engineering known to be Engineering Physics, an integral part of any Engineering stream. Moreover, the department provides courses such as Engineering Physics, Material Science, and Physics for Information Science, Physics for Electronic Engineering and Physics Laboratory. The department has highly qualified and dedicated faculty members specialized in various disciplines of Physics. Our faculty members have published in reputed international journals. The department has the privilege of being one of the leading research departments in the Institution. Physics department takes steps to initiate and create research labs in different areas to accommodate the evolving research requirements of faculty and aspiring Ph.D scholars by establishing a Centre for Crystal Growth.
Vision
Our objective is to furnish students with a strong foundation for delivering top-notch physics education using a systematic approach. Additionally, we aim to equip them with the essential skills required to excel in their future studies at both national and international universities.
Mission
To provide high quality basic physics education to students making them ready for higher education.
To groom young students to be professionals well equipped through an apt platform guaranteed to transform them into sound engineers
To develop enthusiasm among students to inculcate technologically oriented improvisations which would contribute to the betterment of our nation through innovative applications of Physics.
To prepare the students through scientific flavor, making them icons, who would serve the society in a fruitful way.
