Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students

Grievance redressal mechanism at Kings Engineering College underlines accountability and monitoring towards the customers (faculty, staff and students). An Eight member committee monitors and addresses the complaints /suggestions received from the stakeholders and appropriate action is taken by the committee. A complaint/suggestion box has been placed on the ground floor and second floor.

ANTI-RAGGING COMMITTEE

The functions of the cell are:

  • Arrow
    To disseminate information about the evils of ragging and the punishment incurred as per law if involved in ragging to all students at the beginning of every academic year.
  • Arrow
    The anti-ragging squad will be active and monitor students’ behavior throughout the academic year
  • Arrow
    In case of any ragging complaint from the students, the anti-ragging team will take strict and necessary action against the culprits.

Students Activity Body

Cultural ActivitiesStudents at KEC exhibit their talents in an astounding manner through the Cultural Activities.The institution is having two auditoriums, Fully Air Conditioned KalviThanthai Auditorium with a seating capacity of 200 and open Auditorium with a seating capacity of 800. An Open air auditorium of seating capacity 800 to conduct college cultural Activities. Various cultural programmes are conducted in the annual day function and Christmas day celebration. Our institution is having Arts and Fine arts Clubs. The Arts team of the Association does regular shows for the students on Women Empowerment, environmental facts and other social causes.
Sports ActivitiesThe department of Physical Educations encourages regular practice of sports activities. Separate bus facilities are provided for day scholars for after college hours practice sessions.KEC conducts ANNA University zonal tournaments, Inter zonal tournaments, Intra and Inter department tournaments.

ANTI-RAGGING COMMITTEE

The functions of the cell are:

  • Arrow
    To disseminate information about the evils of ragging and the punishment incurred as per law if involved in ragging to all students at the beginning of every academic year.
  • Arrow
    The anti-ragging squad will be active and monitor students’ behavior throughout the academic year
  • Arrow
    In case of any ragging complaint from the students, the anti-ragging team will take strict and necessary action against the culprits.

Roles and Responsibilities of IQAC:

  • Arrow
    Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
  • Arrow
    Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
  • Arrow
    Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.
  • Arrow
    Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes.

    Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement.

    Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices.

    Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining /enhancing the institutional quality.

    Development of Quality Culture in the institution.

    Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC, to be submitted to NAAC

Students Activity Body

Cultural ActivitiesStudents at KEC exhibit their talents in an astounding manner through the Cultural Activities.The institution is having two auditoriums, Fully Air Conditioned KalviThanthai Auditorium with a seating capacity of 200 and open Auditorium with a seating capacity of 800. An Open air auditorium of seating capacity 800 to conduct college cultural Activities. Various cultural programmes are conducted in the annual day function and Christmas day celebration. Our institution is having Arts and Fine arts Clubs. The Arts team of the Association does regular shows for the students on Women Empowerment, environmental facts and other social causes.
Sports ActivitiesThe department of Physical Educations encourages regular practice of sports activities. Separate bus facilities are provided for day scholars for after college hours practice sessions.KEC conducts ANNA University zonal tournaments, Inter zonal tournaments, Intra and Inter department tournaments.
